I believe the Bible to be the true word of God.
I believe what the bible says about prayer.
When I read the prayers people of God did in the bible I see…
2 Samuel 7:18-29-David’s prayer for Israel
2 Samuel 22- David’s Praise
1 Kings 3- Solomon’s prayer for wisdom
1 Kings 8:22-61- Solomon’s prayer for dedication
1 Kings 18:30-46 Elijah’s prayers
Psalm 34:1 -always praising
Matthew 6:5-15- Jesus teaching on prayer during the Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 9:35-38, Luke 10:1-13 – Pray for the lord of the harvest to
send out workers
Matthew 26:41, Luke 21:36, Mark 14:38 (also additional verses) – Jesus
prayer before he went into Jerusalem
Luke records more about Jesus praying than the other three gospels.
Luke is an important book to look at for prayer
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 -Pray without ceasing…
Colossians 4:3-5- Pray for us too…
I originally started this blog as a way to help Christians pray for other countries. I am connecting the history to the present helping educate Christians about other Countries and specific ethnic groups. This blog includes current events and what God is doing through those events to help reach the remaining ethnic groups that have never heard about Jesus. This blog promotes prayer for churches, ministries, and missionaries that are advancing the gospel in other countries.
I believe that indigenous missionaries or western missionaries have a right to share the gospel but once a viable church has started, the leadership should be handed over from the missionaries to the new Christian leaders in that area.
When I first started this blog, I was only aiming for writing posts about praying for other countries. I started a 2nd page for Bible Theology. I thought I’d add my thoughts on bible passages in hopes of possibly reaching unbelievers. Hopefully my thoughts on the Bible helps other Christians as well.
